Sammie Lynn is a beautiful plush-coat German Shepherd. She is a bi-color with a nice, thick coat and a fluffy tail. She is a medium-sized girl and weighs about 60 pounds. She has a beautiful face and very soulful eyes. Sammie was picked up as a stray and was very dirty and thin when she first entered the rescue.
Sammie Lynn is like most German Shepherds—she’s a little cautious and reserved until she gets to know you. Once she bonds with you, she’s totally devoted and dedicated. She loves attention and just wants to be near her people.
Sammie Lynn loves going for walks, playing in the yard with rope toys, taking apart stuffed toys, and chewing on hard toys such as bones or antlers.
This girl is extremely intelligent and very food-motivated. She loves all sorts of treats, including healthy options like carrots and apples. She enjoys puzzle games that involve treats—they help stimulate her mind. She would probably also enjoy doing nose-work games in the yard. Sammie Lynn already has some basic obedience skills. She knows how to sit and lie down and is also crate-trained. She is eager to learn and maintains eye contact while looking for direction.
Sammie Lynn is a very loyal dog once she bonds with her people. She will require an experienced owner who is familiar with the breed, as well as the protective tendencies they can exhibit.
Sammie Lynn will be happiest in an adult-only home where she can be the center of attention and focus on her people. A home that does not have a lot of regular visitors, along with a fenced yard, would be ideal. Sammie Lynn needs to be the only pet in the household so she can devote all her time to her family.
