I'm not quite ready to go to my new home.

Hi! My Name Is Penny

I'm in the Recovery Room - I'll Be Available Soon

Penny

Super sweet and deeply people oriented, this resilient girl is a true trooper working her way back to health.

Penny came to us in an emergency. She arrived with an open wound on her chest that required urgent medical care, the result of what we believe was a snake or spider bite, and the tissue around the injury had become necrotic. She is now resting comfortably in a foster home, receiving heavy duty antibiotics to fight two stubborn, antibiotic resistant bacteria, and we have every hope of a full recovery.

Through all of it, Penny has been nothing short of a champion. She is very people oriented, the kind of girl who wants to be close to her humans, and her sweetness shines through even as she heals. We believe she is good with other dogs, but for now she is being kept separate while she recovers, both for her own safety and theirs.

Penny is still early in her journey with us, and there is so much more to learn about this lovely girl. Stay tuned as her story continues to unfold. What we can tell you already is that she is a super sweet trooper with a bright future ahead.
