I've found my furever family!

XANDER ~ 3 months old. Good with older considerate kids and dogs. Cats TBD. Needs a companion animal.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyHi my name is Xander and I had a really rough start in life. When I was very little I was taken to the emergency vet - I was so sick I almost died but a really nice doctor saved my life and let me stay with them until I was strong enough to move to a regular foster home. Now I'm healthy and growing fast. I love to explore outside and chase my foster sister. I really want to play with the dachshund but he tells me to go away!! I try so hard to make him be friends with me I give him big puppy kisses every morning I know I will eventually win him over.Xander's foster:Xander is an adorable little guy who is super smart and loves to please. He is very food motivated. He knows the sit wait and crate commands. He settles quietly in him crate. We are still working on potty training but he is doing very well and generally keeps his crate dry. He will most likely be a medium sized dog. He is good with large and small dogs male and female and is young enough to live with cats but if cats are in the home it must also have a dog for him to play with. Xander would do best in a forever home with another dog for him to learn from and as a companion/playmate. A fenced yard is preferred. With his super sweet personality and Hollywood good looks he will be a very popular boy.PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under the age of 8 years old.
