VINNIE ~ 1 1/2 years old. Good with older considerate children and dogs. Cats TBD. Needs a companion animal.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyHow do you even start to describe a dog like Vinnie? Well I guess I could start by telling you what a gorgeous boy he is but I guess a picture is worth a thousand words. Lol He is a wonderful loving boy. He loves being with his family and can be a little (or better yet a large) shadow. He is all puppy and loves to play. So he is really going to need a playful companion. He loves playing with his toys running around and chasing after a toy if you throw one. He loves going for walks rides hikes and I think would even do well as a running partner. Mind you I haven't tried the last one out. LolVinnie was picked up as a stray so not much is known about his life prior to the shelter. He was very thin when he came into the rescue but is putting on weight nicely. He is smart and seems eager to please. He is house trained and is left to free roam my home with my other dogs when I'm away. He has done quite well with this. I haven't had any destructive behavior at all. Mind you if you were to leave a ham sandwich on the table it wouldn't be there when you got back home. :~) He doesn't do well being confined in a crate. He is still puppy so he will require someone who is willing to work with him in a positive manner to build confidence and help him become the amazing dog I know that's inside of him.Vinnie will do best with an active family and a playful companion that loves to play. He does have a prey drive and we are working on a &lsquoleave it' command. Because of his energy level playful nature and prey drive I don't think he will do well with seniors small children or small dogs. Not that he would try to harm them but because of his size he could easily knock them over.So do you think this big lovable young boy might be the one for you?
