Meet Valcor – The Gentle, Goofy Soul Looking for His Final Forever
Age: 8 years | Good with Dogs, Cats, and Older Kids | Apartment Appropriate
Valcor first joined our rescue family as a sweet 2-year-old. Now 8 years old, he has returned through no fault of his own—his loving owner could no longer care for him. Thankfully, some truly amazing Samaritans stepped in to bridge the gap and ensure Valcor was safe until he could come back to us.
Valcor is everything you want in a loyal companion: affectionate, calm, and full of heart. He will happily sit beside you for hours if you’re willing to pet him—and let’s be honest, you won’t want to stop. He’s still got his signature clumsy charm and goofy grin that make him impossible not to love.
He has some manageable medical needs, including well-controlled seizures (with medication) and arthritis in his hips, but don’t count him out—he still enjoys short play sessions and hanging out with his people. He’s not aggressive in the least, though he is food obsessed and might get a little too excited for treats (watch those fingers!). Valcor enjoys toys but is happy to share and never shows possessiveness.
He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and walks nicely on leash with continued practice. He’s also good with other dogs, respectful cats, and older, considerate children. His easygoing nature makes him a great fit for apartments or quiet homes looking for a laid-back best friend.
Valcor has known love, and now he’s looking for a forever home to write his next chapter—one filled with comfort, belly rubs, and someone who treasures him for the sweet soul he is.
