SUZY ~ 2 years old. Good with kids and dogs. Not good with cats. GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only.Let me introduce you to Suzy Q! She is a beautiful dainty petite and very sweet girl! Suzy is an "honorary" shepherd....she is black and tan has pointed ears and is smart loyal and affectionate the way a traditional shepherd is. Suzy may be a shepherd mix or she may just be a blend of some sort but no matter what her lineage she is an awesome girl!!Suzy is about 2 years old (best guess) and is about 31-40 Pounds. She has a nice shiny coat and has a small frame. She is quite quick! Not too much is known about her past. She was dumped in a rural shelter when her original family was "moving". Yep I will hold back thoughts on that. Either way this wonderful little dog was very confused and sad at the shelter. She was obviously very used to human attention as she desperately tried to jump up and hug anyone who came near her. We just had to help her.Suzy is a pretty well mannered girl. She is happiest when she is near her people. She is nice and compact and would be a great running or hiking partner. She loves her chew toys. Suzy loves attention and will happily get as close as you let her. She will roll over for belly rubs when she knows you. Suzy also likes to be comfortable and would love a family or individual that would let her sleep in the bed with them. (She does not take up too much room and will actually curl up and go to sleep when you turn out the light.) Suzy seems to like children too as she was very anxious to greet a few kids that came to the shelter.Suzy has met several of the resident dogs and does very well with them. She is a bit nervous when meeting new dogs but once she sees that they want to be her friend she will happily run around the yard with them. She prefers to run and chase as a play style she is a bit nervous with the more rough/tumble dogs that like to tackle! Suzy seems to have some pretty strong prey drive so no kitty cats for this sweetie. If you are looking for a sweet and devoted girl come and meet her soon! Suzy will be a great addition for some lucky family!
