Good with dogs and kids. Cats and small dogs with careful supervisionShaun was a stray who found himself locked up in the Burlington Animal Shelter. He had a collar on that read "Bad to the Bone" but no tags. He was more "Skin and Bones" than "Bad to the Bone" and our volunteer took one look into his warm brown eyes and knew she had to save him.He paced and paced the first few days at his new foster home acting like he had never been allowed inside before. He watched his foster brother and sisters closely and picked up being an inside dog quickly. It took several days of good food before Shaun began to look and act like the boy he was going to be. Then it was all "Can you throw the ball now? Now? Now? How about now? Look here's the ball!" He and his foster brother have had a few territorial issues but now they are getting along like brothers should. "Mom he's looking at me! You better stop looking at me. MOM!" They argue over who is going to get to play with their sister Kaiah (our Shepherd/Lab mix) but they work things out.Shaun is good with children and ok with cats as long as he is supervised. He hasn't been aroung small dogs but I think he would put them in the cat catagory.Shaun hasreceived his heartworm treatment and is ready to find his foreverhome!
