Meet Selah – Smart, Sweet, and Ready for a Second Chance

Selah is a stunning 5-year-old German Shepherd who’s currently in a shelter and struggling with the stress of kennel life. But don’t let that fool you—this girl is affectionate, intelligent, and incredibly people-focused. She just needs the right environment to shine.
Selah thrives in a home setting and would do best in a foster or adoptive home where she can decompress and show off what a good girl she truly is. She’s great with people (she loves attention!) and has done well around children and even cats. She’s dog-selective, but not aggressive—she responds well to dogs with clear boundaries. During her assessment, she eagerly approached the other dog, but when corrected, she backed off and respected the space. That’s Selah: eager to connect, but willing to listen.
We recommend she not be placed in a home with livestock or farm animals. But if you’re looking for a loyal, trainable companion who just needs a soft place to land, Selah could be your girl.
