~7 months old. Good with dogs. Not good with kids cats or small dogs.Scooby Dooby Doo! Where are you? ? ?Hello everyone let me introduce the biggest... sweetest....most adorable .... goofball to ever enter the rescue. This big fella is ALL PUPPYand he is ready for someone to give him the love and TLC he needs and desires. Scooby is your typical LARGE puppy with plenty of antics to keep you busy and on your toes. He loves to chew on his toys play ball go for walks and love on his humans or any human if they will let him.He needs someone who is a pro with the large shepherd puppies. You see he only weighs61-70 Pounds right now but should weigh about 75+lbs at 7 months old. He needs someone who ispatient and who will take the time to work with him train him and teach him what is allowed.Although he looks grown he IS pure puppy! His nicknameis the"Scoobinator" as he is quick and can chew up anything within seconds if allowed. Hey if you left it out then it must have been for him right? These are all things that are very easy to manage with some common sense and training.Scooby is a quick learner and has already learnedtowalk loose leash andsit. For a dog his size who has not yet met his potential weight this is a HUGE plus! He is very eager to learn. He is very sweet and only wants to please and play with you. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. However he was starved and hehas a high desire for food and will jump.We have been working on him with this and he is improving every day.Oh and he is a Velcro baby... Did I mention he is like Velcro? PURE STICKY GOODNESS... You will go nowhere without him checking on you. If he leaves you might want to chase him down. LOL.Scooby would like someone who is active loves to go on long walks hikes runs agility etc.His new family must play ball with himand he would prefer someone who would eventually let him sleep in their bed.He makes a great little cuddle buddy when he wants to. Although he rolls in his sleep and fell off the bed once. (His foster mommy felt really bad for the poor little fella about that one.)Scooby has so much potential for the right person who will take the time to work with him and teach him?He will make someone very happy. His ideal home would be a home with no cats or small dogs/animals. Only older considerate children who can handle large dogs. Scooby would love a playmate but it is suggested that another dog in the house would need to be one whocan handle a large playmate. He has no idea his size or strength. Once he matures and understands his limits the young children and small dogs/animals could be reconsidered but right now it's not suggested. Are you the one he needs?Update 07/26/12 Scooby just had a check up at the vet and has gone from 51lbs to 65lbs yay for Scooby. Progress is being made...Update 08/05/12 Scooby went to the adoption event in Greensboro yesterday and made many new friends including some young youths and various sized dogs. It has been determined that older children would definitely be considered but still no small children due to his size and playfullness. Update09/07/12 Scooby is now up to 80lbs and has a clean bill of health.
