Meet Sarge!
Sarge is a handsome young brindle gentleman, somewhere around 1-2 years old, and don't let the name fool you — there's nothing drill-sergeant about this guy. He's a total love bug who melts into a puddle the second someone scratches his ears.
During his assessment, Sarge showed off all the qualities of a great family companion. He shared his food without a fuss, soaked up every bit of petting and handling, and stayed relaxed and easygoing throughout. Toys? He could take 'em or leave 'em — Sarge is more about people than playthings.
The really good news for multi-dog households: Sarge passed with flying colors alongside both male and female canine buddies. He'd genuinely thrive in a home with another four-legged sibling to hang out with.
Like a lot of young dogs, Sarge is still learning his manners. He'll do best with a foster or adopter willing to put in some basic training time — sit, leash work, the usual brain-and-body stuff — but he's a smart, willing student wrapped in an affectionate goofball package.
If you're looking for a sweet, social, snuggly young dog who gets along with humans and dogs alike, Sarge just might be your guy.
