An unaltered male, 80 lb., approximately two year old German Shepherd was found in one of my neighbor's backyards on Sunday evening, 06/29/2025. The dog was wearing a collar and had a leash attached to the collar. He is very sweet and well-behaved thus far.
I called Mecklenburg County, who were willing to pick up the dog--the wrinkle being that evidently as reported by several unhelpful social media commenters that after 72 hours all unclaimed animals are being euthanized. We are not able to keep him and need help ASAP.
