Meet Morgan
Morgan is a beautiful black-and-brown long-haired German Shepherd with a gentle spirit and so much potential. Recently surrendered to the shelter, she is currently dealing with some suspected allergy issues, including flaky skin, red ears, and a little hair loss around her eyes. Even with all of that, her sweet personality shines through.
Morgan is a friendly, curious girl who genuinely enjoys people. She actively sought out attention from both men and women during her assessment and was easy to handle. She allowed touching all over, rolled over willingly, and showed just how soft-hearted she is with her calm, affectionate nature. She also takes food gently, which is one more sign of her sweet and respectful temperament.
She has done well around other dogs and appears to like them. When meeting another female dog, she showed no concerning behavior and was respectful of the other dog’s space. As always, slow introductions are the best way to help any new dog succeed, but Morgan has given every indication that she wants to interact appropriately and politely.
Morgan will need some help with leash manners, since she does pull on walks, and she may need a little guidance with general house manners as she adjusts to life outside the shelter. She seems like the kind of dog who will flourish quickly with consistency, kindness, and a little patience.
She would do well in a home willing to continue her training, help her with polite leash walking, and give her thoughtful introductions to any resident dogs. With her beauty, sweet nature, and easygoing way with people, Morgan is sure to catch the eye of adopters looking for a wonderful companion.
Morgan is already spayed, which is a great start, and she’s more than ready for a fresh chapter. She may not be attached to her current name, so her future family could even choose a new one to match her new beginning.
