Rue is a precious dog who absolutely loves to cuddle! She is highly driven and is treat and toy motivated. She has the potential to do very well in both rally obedience and agility. While she loves playing fetch and going on long walks, she is also perfectly content to sit on the couch and receive endless pets/snuggles. She loves women, but takes a bit of time to warm up to men. She is very good at basic obedience and will even jump through a hoop on command. I will provide videos of her in action upon request.
While Rue has so many wonderful qualities, unfortunately she loves her people so much, she can become over-protective of them within the home when other dogs are around. She is completely non-reactive when seeing other dogs on walks (we frequent a trail where we can pass as many as ten different dogs on one walk and she is completely unbothered), but she resource guards people from other dogs when within the home, meaning that she would thrive in a single dog household.
It breaks my heart to re-home her, I have had to face the fact that in order to thrive, Rue needs to find a new, loving home that can give her the individual attention she desires.
