I've found my furever family!

RILEY ~10 months old. Good with dogs and cats. Kids TBD. Needs a companion animal.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only. Riley ended up in an over full shelter as the holidays approached and thankfully GSRA was able to find a foster home and a transport team on short notice to break him free from puppy jail. Riley's a big stunning classic Black and Tan whose currently 70 lbs. and at 10 months isn't finished growing yet. He's a good car rider and leash walker. Riley is house trained crate trained and knows basic commands. We are working on allowing him to free roam and so far he's been well behaved. Riley would do best with a fenced yard to play in. He also needs a confident companion dog that will teach him to be more comfortable with the world as well as provide him with a playmate. He loves to play chase and can be a mouthy player when he gets excited. He's a little shy meeting new people and may bark but warms up quickly and is very food motivated. He loves to be with his people and likes to play with other dogs. He is submissive and takes correction from other dogs well. He seemed uninterested in cats during his test. Riley's a great dog that needs a family to continue his basic training he wants very badly to please his humans. PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under the age of 8 years old.
