I've found my furever family!

RICO ~ 11 months old. Good with dogs cats and older considerate teenagers. Needs a companion animal.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only.Are you looking for an adorable little munchkin? Well then please let me introduce you to Rico. He is a 10-month-old little heartbreaker. He will charm his way right into your heart. Rico is a sweet boy who loves any attention you are willing to share. He is good with people dogs and dog-savvy cats. He loves being outside running around playing going for walks and exploring new things. He rides well in the car.He is active but also knows how to settle down. Rico loves playing with his canine sister. He is respectful of the other dog and will take direction from her.Rico is housebroken. He has free reign 24/7 in the house with my pup and does well especially considering he is still a pup. He did pick up my shoe but didn't chew it just moved it from one place to another. I guess he didn't like where I put them. Lol He does well with dogs and tested well with dog-savvy cats. See the video below. He walks okay on a leash but does pull at times. He does have some prey drive. He is working on basic commands but would benefit from some continued training.Rico was given to a young man as a puppy about 8 months ago. Now he is heading off to college and his mom didn't want to care for him. So Rico was surrendered to the shelter. He was terrified and very confused as any pup would be when he was dropped off but the wonderful volunteers sat with him and gave him lots of pets. After a bit they took him outside and he started to relax and started to be playful.Rico is just the sweetest boy. He would do well with a home that has a fenced yard and a playful companion so he can run and play. He would love an active family that loves going for walks and adventures. I haven't had him around children but with his personality I believe he would do okay with older considerate kids.So do you think this cute little munchkin might be what you are looking for?PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under the age of 8 years old.
