Meet Pelican!
Pelican is a 2-year-old, 63 lb shepherd mix with a loyal heart and a playful spirit. She’s great with other dogs and adores the kids in her pack. Fetch is her favorite pastime, but she’s just as happy relaxing quietly nearby.
Pelican is protective of her family and wary of strangers — she’ll bark when someone new enters her space and does best crated during visits. She’s all bark and no bite, though, and usually backs off when challenged. Once she trusts you, she’s incredibly loyal and eager to please.
She’s up to date on all vaccinations, does well with professional grooming and boarding, and is a wonderful walking buddy (though she’s not a fan of car rides). She’s not suited for homes with cats or small animals.
Pelican is looking for a patient, loving home that understands her big feelings and bigger heart. If you're ready to earn her trust, she’ll give you her whole heart in return.
