Molly is a beautiful young German Shepherd, just over a year old and weighing about 48 pounds. Despite a difficult start in life, she has shown remarkable resilience and is ready to find the loving home she deserves.
Molly was found abandoned, suffering from pyometra and heartworms. It's believed she may have had multiple litters before being left to fend for herself. Thankfully, she was rescued, received the medical care she needed, and is now looking toward a brighter future.
While Molly's past has left her cautious around new people and experiences, she is a sweet-natured girl who wants to connect. She takes a little time to build trust, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality begins to shine. She has a calm demeanor in the home, is crate trained, eats well, and has shown no signs of food aggression.
Molly is still learning how to be a dog. She arrived with very little training or socialization, but she is smart and eager to learn. In just a short time, she has learned to sit and is making great progress with house training. New environments can be overwhelming for her, and things like bicycles and busy public areas can be frightening, so she will need a patient adopter who can continue building her confidence.
Because she is young, active, and curious, Molly will thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, training, and appropriate mental and physical exercise. She would do best with someone who understands that she is still learning about the world and is committed to helping her succeed.
Molly has overcome so much already. Now she needs a forever family willing to give her the stability, guidance, and love she's been missing. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion with tremendous potential and a heart ready to trust again.
