~1 year old. Good with older considerate children and large dogs. Not good with cats or small dogs. Needs a fenced yard.Who's ready for a big lovable goofball to join their family?? If it is you then come and meet Maxx! Maxx is only about a year old and he is one big lovable sweet boy. Maxx appears to be a mix of GSD/Burmese mountain dog. He has a soft and fluffy coat. Maxx came to GSRA from a high kill shelter. All the volunteers were emphasizing how sweet he was and he has definitely lived up to their description. He is just a happy and friendly boy! Maxx loves to run and would be a great addition for an active family or someone who wants a jogging partner. Maxx is very sweet and affectionate and loves to be petted and get attention. He was quite dirty and matted when we pulled him from the shelter and we had to cut many mats out of his coat while giving him a bath. His tail is still a bit matted but the clumps are working themselves out. Maxx has a very silky coat. Maxx does know "sit" pretty well and will eagerly plop down in front of you for some attention. Maxx loves the tennis ball too and is quite entertaining as he pounces on it and tosses it about. Maxx seems to like all people big and small. Maxx gets along well with medium and large dogs but can be a bit overenthusiastic when he plays!! He would benefit from a large doggie friend that enjoys the rough and tumble play and a good game of chase!! Maxx seems to have a pretty strong prey drive so no cats or small dogs for this guy!Maxx is UTD and neutered but unfortunately he tested HW positive. He is getting ready to undergo HW treatment on 8/5 and should be fully recovered by early September.Maxx is a delightful and fun boy who is going to make some lucky family very happy. Come and meet Maxx soon!!
