LOKI ~ 1 1/2 years old. Good with older considerate children and dogs. Cats TBD. GSRA Adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyHi world! My name is Loki and I am a very handsome 1-2 year old bi-colored GSD. I don't remember much about my former life but I did spend quite a bit of time outside alone without any guidance. I was turned into the APS of Durham and the shelter reached out to GSRA. My life has essentially just begun! I am a VERY happy go lucky guy that just wants to be around his people. My mission in life is to please you and I want to be close by your side as much as possible. I get along with other dogs and am learning how to respect other dogs space and cues to be left alone. I am currently residing with two senior GSRA alum and they are teaching me the ropes. I love to play with toys even the ones that other fosters and resident dogs have left behind. My foster parents laugh because some of the toys that I love have never been played with by other dogs. It doesn't matter to me as long as its a toy. I love to go for walks am learning some basic commands such as sit come leave it and off and would make a great running partner. Since I want to please you I am very eager to learn. I would really like a play buddy close to my size. I can play alone but would like the company of another canine companion. If not I would do better with someone who is home quite a bit. I am very sad when I am alone. FROM FOSTER MOM: Loki is an extremely endearing young GSD who absolutely thrives on your attention and love. He truly wants to please you and looks to you for guidance. He is VERY much still a puppy at heart. He is mouthy and will need to be continuously reminded that it is not appropriate! For this reason he should not go to a home that has children under 8. He needs structure discipline consistency and love so that he knows what is expected of him. He has so much potential but needs someone who will commit to guiding him the right way. Outside Loki is very active and loves to run and play fetch. For this reason he requires a fenced in yard. Just seeing how happy he is when he runs makes my heart swell with happiness because he is SO happy. Inside he is much calmer and settled. I do believe that he has spent some time inside in his prior life. He was house trained from day one. He goes up and downstairs without any problems is not phased by ceiling fans TV's floors etc. He crates well but may whine at bit at first then settle quickly. He will either need a companion animal or work from home/stay at home person to be happy. He is one of the sweetest most loving GSD's that we have had the privilege of fostering. Do you have room for a happy go lucky loving playful and super handsome boy? Loki is up to date on his vaccinations is neutered and doesn't appear to have any health problems.
