I've found my furever family!

LILY ~6-8 years old. Good with older considerate children dogs and cats.GSRA Adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyA diamond in the rough....that is the first thought that will come to your mind when you meet Lily. Lilyis a super sweet middle aged German shepherd that has a rough time prior to being brought into rescue. She was picked up as a stray. She was very thin and suffering from skin infections and significant fur loss due to flea dermatitis. Clearly the nomadic lifestyle was not working out for her.Lilyis feeling much better now and starting to gain some weigh and her skin has cleared up. Her fur will take a while longer to fill in.The thing that is special about Lilyis her radiant personality. She is such a sweet and loving girl! We are estimating her age to be in the 6-8 year range. Lilyis a gentle girl who just wants to be near her people. She has the most soulful and expressive eyes. She is very appreciative when you pet her and will wrap her paw around your arm. She will happily follow you around and wag her tail. If you are working or watching tv she will happily curl up on the nearest dog bed or blanket. Lilyhas a great smile and will happily dance around when trying to play or if there is a treat involved! She is a very low maintenance girl. Lilyis housebroken and crate trained. She has not demonstrated any destructive tendencies when left loose in the house.Lilyjust wants to be loved and will shower you with love and kisses in return.Lilyseems fine with mild mannered dogs and seems scared of cats. She is an all around great girl. She is on the road to recovery and will be even prettier in a few months. Lilywill be a wonderful companion for some lucky family. Come meet her soon!
