LEX ~1 year old. Good with kids dogs and cats. Good for seniors/elderly.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyHi my name is Lex and I am a tripod. I had to have my right rear leg amputated a few months ago but I am so happy because now I can run and play without being in pain. I love to play with my foster sister. I can bring a ball back for you to throw again and I really like splashing around in water but haven't quite learned to swim yet. Come meet me and let me show you how fast I can run.Lex's foster:Lex is a true sweetheart. He is a great combination of playful and fun without being over the top crazy energy. He likes to go for walks plays well with dogs it good with large and small dogs male and female. He does take a little while to get comfortable around both new people and dogs but it does not take long. He is crate trained house trained an excellent car rider. He is snuggly and is happy after coming in from playing to lay on a dog bed and chew on a bone. Lex would be a good first time sheppie for a family. He is food motivated and just an all around happy go lucky boy. The only limitation he has from his leg amputation is stairs - I believe he physically can use stairs but he is afraid to try. He will go up a step or two but not a full flight. Lex has pretty neutral temperament neither dominant nor submissive. He would do best in a home with either a companion dog or a human home more often than not. Lex is somewhat vocal with a loud deep bark. Check out the video below to see just how well Lex does on three legs.
