Jack is a friendly, intelligent German Shepherd looking for a loving home where he can get the activity and attention he deserves. He was professionally trained as a service dog to assist my late wife with balance support and fall prevention, and he has a calm, well-mannered temperament.
Jack is fully house trained and has excellent house manners — he does not chew on clothing, shoes, furniture, or other household items. He is in excellent health and enjoys playing fetch, chasing balls, and tug-of-war with his favorite figure-8 toy.
I am an 82-year-old retired family physician, and after the loss of my wife, I have found that I can no longer provide Jack with the level of exercise and engagement he needs. This decision is not being made lightly; my goal is to find him a home where he can continue to thrive.
Jack would do well with an active individual or family familiar with German Shepherds, and he would make a loyal companion and excellent watchdog. My priority is finding the right home that can provide him with love, companionship, and an active lifestyle.
