Meet Hades – Your Adventure Buddy and Rainy Day Snugglebug!

Hades is the ultimate dual-purpose dog: equal parts outdoor explorer and indoor cuddle companion.

Outside, Hades is in his element—he loves to run and has excellent off-leash recall when walking in the woods. He’s a year-round swimmer who dives into water any chance he gets, no matter the weather. Despite his energy and love of nature, Hades is quiet and even-tempered. He rarely barks, isn’t fazed by loud noises like fireworks, and will politely whine at the door when he needs to go out.

Inside, Hades is a total snugglebug. He adores cozy days and happily lets you use him as a pillow. He’s a master blanket-nester and is always down for a nap on a rainy afternoon.

Hades has a truly exceptional temperament with other animals. He’s amazing with cats—especially playful ones—and turns into a gentle “mother hen” around kittens. He’s also great with small dogs, even those that are a little pushy or nippy, and he shows excellent bite inhibition when playing. He once cared for an injured baby rabbit, snuggling it daily until it was ready to be released—so yes, he’s even bunny-approved!

He gets along fine with his large canine housemate, though occasional spats happen (usually when the other dog gets too rowdy), but they always make up with snuggles. While he hasn’t been closely tested with unfamiliar large dogs, Hades is non-reactive and has shown no signs of aggression on walks or near neighboring dogs.

Hades is also:

  • House-trained with no known separation issues

  • Very gentle with young children—he's fantastic with his 3-year-old human buddy and adored a visiting 10-year-old neighbor

  • Non-reactive and shows no food aggression

  • Likely to get bored as an only pet, as he’s used to having furry friends for company

The only things to be mindful of: Hades isn’t used to traffic or city life and may be nervous around adult men at first. However, he warms up quickly with patience and kindness.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who’ll join you on outdoor adventures and then melt into you on the couch, Hades just might be your perfect match.
