I've found my furever family!

(2 1/2 yrs) Good with cats dogs and kids.Frida came to GSRA with her mother and brother when her owners surrendered them to a rural shelter. Whatever turmoil caused her human family to give up their dogs caused even greater turmoil in her canine family &ndash as mom brother and Frida went off to separate foster homes. Apart from them for the first time in her life Frida spent a few days depressed and not eating. But she eventually figured out that her new pack wasn't half-bad &ndash and now she is one of the gang.A petite and well-mannered girl Frida is the perfect starter Shepherd. Her delicate face and the heavy dark eyebrows of her namesake (Frida Kahlo) give her a wonderful expressiveness. As for her breeding she seems to be descended from both American and European lines &ndash as she greets with both a handshake and a kiss. A quiet dog Frida mostly leaves the barking to the other guys but she makes little monkey sounds when she wants attention &ndash and is capable of a surprisingly resonant bark when something seems not-quite-right. She'll follow you anywhere and everywhere but is perfectly content if the journey ends up on the couch.Frida is house-broken crate-trained and non-destructive. Although she sleeps in her crate she's trustworthy around the house when the people are away (somebody's got to go earn money for dog food!). New situations and big commotions stress her out a bit &ndash but she looks to her humans to interpret what's going on and adapts very quickly.She likes other dogs (large and small) cats and (well-mannered) kids. What she doesn't like is to be alone &ndash pretty understandable given her history &ndash so she really needs a home with other pets or with someone who stays at home.
