FINNEGAN ~8 months old. Good with children over 8 dogs and dog savvy cats. GSRA Adopts to residents of VA NC and SC Only November Update: Adorable cuddly Finnegan has become quite the farm dog! Everyone who visits get hugs and kisses from this friendly fellow. He loves the chickens and the horses. He has two foster brothers and two foster sisters (canine type). Finnegan gets up at 6:30 after sleeping all night in his crate. I never close the crate door. He just likes the coziness I suppose. We walk for three miles clean the chicken coop groom the horses and return home. Finnegan loves resting on the back porch and observing. He does like to bark. I hope we can find just the right home for this great boy.Update: Our Finnegan is a wonderful fun playful bundle of soft black fur at 8 months and approx 80 lbs!! He loves his daily butt rubs and politely asks for twice daily loving. Our tests over time with the household cats who are kept in the basement for spraying reasons...lol...prove that Finnegan will allow a dog savvy cat in the home. He politely sniffs and is curious but as I said politely. So our Finnegan has just stepped up to a whole other group of adopters! Yay Finnegan!! An update of potty training too please you ask? Finnegan is 99.9% potty trained. Only one accident this month and that was when it was rainy loud and chaotic in his foster home. (4 teenagers are a lot of distraction!) lol Come meet Finnegan at our annual picnic this weekend!!! Update: Finnegan is a smart boy who already knows sit down and stay. He is doing quite well with his potty training business too. Our boy has perfected the Gsd head tilt and sense of humor to a T." Finnegan begin again loves all people and belly rubs are his favorite. Hi Everyone!!! Meet Finnegan. He is a GSD/Newfie mix (we THINK) not quite sure because dad was a wanderer. Finnegan is a happy well adjusted pup that has a natural curiosity and does all those things puppies do: runs chews and LOVES to play with his brother Guiness. Finnegan is great with human people of all kinds. We have 5 children and he does just wonderful with all of them. I correct Finnegan by redirecting him usually with a toy or a dental chew. I see no reason Finnegan would not be good with dog savvy cats but that is officially TBD. Finnegan has a natural laid back attitude towards life. So far very few accidents in his crate over night. I have an open schedule and am able to let him outside several times a day. I think it best that Finnegan goes to a home with humans who have plenty of time to properly train and spend the appropriate time with him. Finnegan is very loving and going to be a ridiculously awesome family member! It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year old to families with children under the age of 8 years old."
