I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Doc & Jack (CL)

I'm Available

Doc & Jack (CL) is a COURTESY LISTING available for private adoption -- for more information, please contact the owner listed below. DO NOT apply through the GSRA website as this dog and owner are not affiliated with GSRA.

Doc and Jack are two very special 3-year-old brothers whose bond is as beautiful as it is unbreakable. These gentle boys recently lost their beloved owner and are now looking for a compassionate home where they can stay together and start their next chapter.

Doc is mostly blind and relies on his brother Jack to help guide him through the world. Jack takes his role seriously, and the two share a quiet, loving connection that is truly heartwarming to see. They clearly comfort and support one another, and separating them simply wouldn’t be fair to either of them.

Despite everything they’ve been through, Doc and Jack have been incredibly easy houseguests in their foster home. They are sweet, calm boys who enjoy meeting new people and greeting them with soft curiosity rather than barking. In fact, they are very quiet overall—sometimes they’ll whine a little for attention, but they’re not big barkers.

Both boys walk beautifully on leash without pulling and enjoy simple pleasures like going for walks, riding in the car, and relaxing near their people. They are fully house trained and have excellent manners in the home—no accidents, no counter surfing, no getting into the trash, and no chewing on things they shouldn’t.

They have previously lived peacefully with other German Shepherds, and while their experience with cats is unknown, they have done well with respectful children. Because Doc cannot see well, a home with older, dog-savvy kids would likely be the best fit so he doesn’t accidentally bump into little ones or trip over toys left on the floor.

Doc and Jack will be up to date on their core vaccines and will receive their annual checkups before going to their new home. They are not yet neutered, so their future family should be willing to take care of that as part of their continued care.

Adopting two large dogs may seem like a big commitment, but these boys make it easy. They are affectionate, gentle, and deeply devoted to each other and their people. After losing the person they loved, they deserve a safe, patient home where they can stay side by side and be cherished again.

If you have room in your heart and home for two incredibly sweet “giant babies,” Doc and Jack will reward you with double the love.
