I've found my furever family!

DALLAS ~4 years old. Good with dogs and calm dog savvy cats. Kids TBD. GSRA adopts only in VA NC and SC Dallas is a sweet GSD mix who found himself incarcerated at a rural NC shelter when he was picked up as a stray. He tested HW positive and there was no interested in this gentle and slightly timid boy. RADAR (Raising Aid for Dogs at Risk) offered to assist with HW treatment if pulled by rescue. Once GSRA had an open foster spot we agreed to help Dallas.Dallas is a very amicable and fairly mellow boy. He is approximately 4-5 yrs old (best guess) and weighs 65 lbs. We are guessing that he is a shepherd/lab mix. He has the markings/color of a GSD but has a very short coat. Dallas is a bit timid when meeting new people but once he gets to know you he is quite a happy go lucky guy! Dallas does well with other dogs. He also does not seem to have any interest in cats either. He is a very live and let live kind of guy!Dallas likes attention and likes to be petted. He is a bit hand shy around his head and was probably abused in his past. He will flinch and duck if you reach quickly towards his head. As he has gotten more comfortable and familiar with me this reaction has been diminishing! Don't worry Dallas nobody is ever going to be mean to you again!! Dallas is very calm in the house and yard and just likes to chill out and be near his people. He likes to lay around and watch TV and keep an eye on his people!Dallas is a nice gentle boy who is going to make a great addition for some lucky family!!
