CHIEF ~ 3 1/2years old. Good with Dogs and Cats. Needs a companion animal. GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only. Update 10-2-21 - Wow! What a difference a few weeks have made. Chief started as a scared little boy and has now become a very happy one. A boy who at first I had to pick up to get in the car now loves going for rides and will happily jump in. He actually looks at the hatch when I take the pups out the gate to see if they are going for a ride. lol He loves going out for walks and exploring. He is learning basic commands and doing well. He is very treat motivated. He is a true velcro dog and wants to be wherever you are. lol He has also become a little snuggle bug and will get up in the recliner and lay down beside me. <3He is still a little shy when first meeting people but it has gotten better. He does great with other dogs and did cat test well. He takes correction easily. He does great in the house 24/7 w/o any issues. If you can offer a little patience in the beginning he will make a wonderful addition to your family. I haven't had him around kids but I think he would do well with older considerate ones.*****************************************************************Chief is a sweet boy but is a little timid/unsure when first meeting people. With a little patience he warms up nicely. Most of his videos were within the first week in his foster home. Once he knows he is safe he is a happy boy. He loves toys and being with his family. He loves being outside going for walks and enjoying adventures. He rides well in the car but is unsure about getting in.Chief was found as a stray under a home. He was in pretty rough shape. He was underweight filthy very matted and his ears were bloody from fly strikes. He was very scared and it was clear that he had a pretty crappy life but you could see in his eyes that he wanted to trust and be loved He gets along with other dogs and enjoys being with them. He was cat tested and didn't show any interest at all. He has free reign 24/7 in the house and has done very well. Chief would do best in a home with another dog. Cat is optional. -) He would love a companion dog that he could run and play with. A fenced yard would be great too. Even though he is a gentle boy because he is timid it would be best for his furever home to be without children. Are you looking for a sweet gentle boy then Chief maybe the one for you?
