Meet Brodie – Your New Best Friend
Brodie is the sweetest, most snuggly puppy you’ll ever meet! Incredibly calm for his age, he’s a loving companion who adores being around people and is happiest curled up next to you. His recall is excellent, and he thrives on human connection.
Personality & Playfulness
Brodie gets along wonderfully with his foster dog siblings. As he grows, he’s started to join in on rough-and-tumble and chase games with the bigger dogs. He loves all kinds of toys—especially plushies! Every day, he proudly parades his favorite toy around before stashing it away in his crate, which is often full of his “treasures.”
Training & Behavior
Brodie is making great progress with potty training and is doing well on a leash. He rides quietly in the car, although longer drives may cause a bit of car sickness. He has no separation anxiety, and he doesn’t resource guard food or toys. He’s also likely to do well with older children and possibly even cats.
A Special Boy with a Special Need
Brodie has been diagnosed with megaesophagus (“mega-e”), a condition that affects how food moves to the stomach. Right now, he requires softened food and needs to sit upright while eating, followed by staying upright for 15 minutes. The great news? This super smart boy already knows how to get into his special Bailey feeding chair all on his own (check out the attached video!).
Because of his feeding routine, Brodie would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time to help manage his meals. It’s not yet known if he’ll outgrow the condition, but he takes it all in stride like a champ.
The Perfect Home for Brodie
Brodie would love a playful dog sibling and a family who will cherish his sweet, gentle spirit. Everyone who meets him falls in love—he’s just that special.
NOTE: GSRA has a policy of not placing puppies under one year of age in homes with children under the age of 8.
