Blanche is a sweet, spunky German Shepherd pup. She's brave and playful, and she makes friends easily. She is an affectionate, easygoing puppy who has been a pleasure to have in my home.
Blanche is already crate trained and potty trained. She goes into her crate without any fuss, stays quiet when I'm in the shower, and sleeps all the way through the night. She is also very quick to learn. New tricks typically take her only four or five repetitions.
She is remarkably confident. Blanche is curious about everything and assumes that every person and dog she meets is friendly. She will walk straight into new settings as though she belongs there. In my time with her, I have never seen her hackles rise or seen her shy away from anything. She appears to have had no bad experiences and shows no signs of fear or trauma.
She is wonderful with other dogs and is always eager to play. She also has good manners. If a dog signals that it has had enough, she may try once or twice more, but she then understands and gives the other dog space.
Because I work from home, I have seen how well she settles. She will lie down and nap quietly while I work. If she hasn't had attention in a while, she'll come over for some cuddles, and once she feels reassured she goes back to playing or napping.
Blanche loves squeaky toys and bones, and she is a dedicated retriever. She will chase any ball you throw, and if you throw several at once, she will bring back every one.
Her ideal home:
Blanche would do best with an active family and a yard where she can explore, run, and chase. She loves other dogs, so a home with another playful dog companion would be ideal. I haven't yet been able to test her with cats or children, so I can't speak to that. I have fostered several puppies, and Blanche has been one of the easier ones. From what I have seen, I believe she would also be manageable for a first-time owner.
Blanche is a sweet, well-adjusted puppy, and the family who adopts her will be very fortunate.
