I've found my furever family!

AJAX ~3 years old. Good with dogs. Kids TBD. Not good with cats.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only Hey there! My name is Ajax and I am a striking young fellow in search of a new home. I recently came into the rescue my owner ended up in the hospital with a terminal illness. Not much is known about my past apparently my prior owner only had me for a couple of months.So we will just work with what we know here. I am approximately 3 to 4 years old I weigh about 61-70 Pounds and have a beautiful reddish sable coat. I am a very smart boy and at some point in my past I have had some training. I know how to sit down stay (well sort of I'm a bit weak on this one) and I walk fairly well on a leash. I am usually pretty shy and reserved when meeting new people but I am extremely food motivated and if you have a tasty treat I will quickly become your friend. Although I'm a little cautious and shy I do warm up within a couple of days and I will become your best friend.I love attention and will happily follow you around everywhere. I'd like to play ball and go for walks and I am totally obsessed with the water hose! I think it's great fun to try to catch the water as it comes out of the hose. I also will jump up in the air and try to catch raindrops during heavy storms my foster mom thinks it's a funny and unique behavior!I was initially very apprehensive around other dogs but once I get proper intros I do fine. I have several foster friends that I play with in the yard and I tend to match my place style to their energy level. I am very rambunctious with the younger high energy dogs but I do manage to tone it down when I play with some of the older ones.I am a fairly quiet boy and do not bark a whole lot and when I get excited and start running around I do correct easily with a few verbal commands. I'm very eager to please and I'm just looking for someone who wants to love me and interact with me and let me share in their adventures. I would love a home with a fenced yard to play in. I also love going for car rides. I would also do best in a home where someone is home most of the time.I do have quite a bit of prey drive so a home without kitties is required.I do have a slight case of conjunctivitis. My eyes got a little inflamed at times. I have been on medication and it is quite manageable. I will actually sit and let you put the drops in my eyes every couple of days.I'm a very fun fellow and I'm looking forward to a long life of adventures with my new family!
