BEBE ~2 years old. Good with older considerate children and dogs. Not good with cats.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyRecipe for a Bebe: take 1 smallish sheppie body and add 2 extra-long ears a gorgeous smile and a double-shot of energy. Stir well and top it with a funny little personality. Voila! You have yourself a Bebe! But Bebe will need to know you're &ldquogood people&rdquo before she'll show you the smile or the personality because she also seems to have gotten a double dose of &ldquostranger danger&rdquo at some point along the way. Her first reaction to anything new or scary is to RUN&mdashshe is all flight and no fight. But she's curious about what's going on around her and that makes her very open to being convinced that a new person or thing isn't scary&mdashshe just needs that person to have a gentle patient approach that doesn't push her too far too fast. In her foster home she lives with a very happy male sheppie who's never met a stranger and time and again I've seen him be the bridge that helps her approach a new person&mdashwhether she's simply following the lead of a dog she trusts or there's a bit of sibling rivalry kicking in within moments of her seeing him getting love from someone we encounter when out walking she's right in there seeking the same thing! The first time I saw this I thought there was something special about the person she was meeting but now I've seen it often enough to know it's really a &ldquothing &rdquo that Bebe needs a confident canine buddy to help her continue to learn that the world isn't such a scary place. And if that canine buddy likes to wrestle and play chase so much the better! Bebe loves these games and is spunky enough to hold her own with a dog twice her size. She says bring it game on! And she is FAST! Watching her and my larger male chase after the same thing brings Roadrunner and Wile E Coyote to mind.Other than a canine buddy Bebe needs a relatively quiet home meaning a home without a lot of different people coming and going. But she doesn't need a quiet lifestyle&mdashon the contrary she's a healthy young sheppie who will thrive in a home where she gets plenty of daily exercise&mdashwhether that's playing hiking or running it's all good. The human can only hope to keep up with her! She's crate trained house trained and loves to go on car rides. Who wants to be the person that shows Bebe how wonderful the world is?
