I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Bear

We're happy to tell you that Bear has a new furever home.

Bear is ready to begin a beautiful new chapter—and he’s bringing all his wonderful qualities with him.

This handsome boy is the definition of calm, steady, and affectionate. He doesn’t demand attention or insist on being in your lap, but the moment you offer a hand, he’s right there—softly leaning in, soaking up the love. There’s a quiet sweetness about Bear that makes you feel chosen.

In the home, Bear is an absolute dream. Truly the “easiest dog you’ve ever had in your house” kind of easy. He’s fully housebroken, trustworthy when left alone, and knows exactly how to settle. His peaceful presence has a way of making everyone relax. He’s the dog who makes you exhale and think, “This is what calm feels like.”

Bear thrives on routine and genuinely enjoys his mealtimes. He’s currently fed a mix of moist and dry food twice a day, with a special moist bedtime snack. One of his favorite parts of the day is when his moist food is spread onto a lick mat—he happily settles in and carefully licks it clean, entertaining himself for several minutes. It’s a sweet little ritual that shows how content and easygoing he truly is.

Bear gets along well with other dogs and would be happy as your one-and-only or sharing space with a canine companion. He’s not much into toys or wrestling, though he may gently “herd” a running dog now and then. He occasionally enjoys a Benebone, but mostly he’s content just being near his people.

He previously lived in a home with a cat during temporary accommodations and had no issues.

Out in the world, Bear is a true gentleman. He walks nicely on leash, follows directions well, and redirects easily if something catches his interest. He loves car rides and is the perfect passenger—calm, relaxed, and happy to be included in whatever adventure the day brings.

Bear would thrive with:

  • Someone who enjoys daily walks and will keep him active and fit.
  • A person who is home most of the time—he truly loves being near his human and will make sure you never feel lonely.
  • A family committed to keeping him lean and healthy so he can continue feeling his best for years to come.

If you’re looking for a steady, devoted companion with excellent house manners, an easy routine, and a heart full of quiet love, Bear may be exactly the dog you’ve been waiting for.
