Meet Archer!
Archer is a 1.5-year-old, neutered, 80-pound German Shepherd mix looking for an active home where he can continue to thrive. He’s a goofy, smart, affectionate dog who enjoys being with his people and staying engaged both mentally and physically.
Archer is micro-chipped, house broken and loves his crate.
This handsome guy loves playing with balls and frisbees, chasing a flirt stick, and learning new things. Archer knows basic commands, walks nicely on leash, and has been working hard with family and trainers on his reactivity. He’s highly trainable and thrives when his brain and body stay busy.
With his family and familiar visitors, Archer is sweet, loyal and protective. He forms strong bonds with the people he trusts and, with proper introductions, is comfortable welcoming guests into the home.
Because Archer can be reactive to dogs, wildlife, and sometimes unfamiliar people, he would do best in a home that understands his needs and is committed to continuing his training and confidence-building. His ideal home would include:
• A rural or lower-density setting
• A fenced yard
• An adopter with experience handling reactive dogs or working-type breeds
• A quieter environment without constant animal or neighborhood activity
Archer is happiest when he has opportunities to play, explore, and spend time with his people. In return, he offers loyalty, companionship, and plenty of personality.
