I've found my furever family!

ASTRO ~1-2 years old. Good with dogs. Kids and cats TBD.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyHowdy! My name is Astro and I am a big and funny boy eagerly waiting for a home of my very own! I am a striking young fellow! I appear to be a husky/german shepherd blend and have personality traits of both breeds. I am approx 1-1.5 years old. I have a very thick and shiny coat and predominantly GSD coloring. My facial mask gives away the "husky" part of my lineage as does my very square shape. I am a very strong and solid dog and have the tall size of the gsd. I also have the well known husky characteristic of a white tipped tail! (Makes me easy to spot in a crowd!)I was picked up as a stray so there is not much known about my past. That doesn't matter now all that counts is the future!I am a sweet and goofy boy. I am very smart like most german shepherds. I am housebroken and crate trained. I do know how to sit for treats and am also very food motivated. I am sweet and affectionate and like to lean into my people. I am a young boy so I have a LOT of energy. I also have the husky bounce....when I get excited I tend to jump straight up and leap and bound around as opposed to a regular run. Don't get me wrong I can also run like the wind when I want to! I can get easily excited and hyper but will ramp myself back down with a verbal correction. I am a funny boy with a lot of enthusiasm. I am very eager to engage with my people.I do well with female dogs. (I have not yet been tested with male dogs). I love to play chase and race around the yard with a canine friend. I am a bit intense when meeting new dogs and need proper introductions as well as a dog that doesn't mind a bump and run kind of play style...I like to run very close to my playmates and shoulder bump.I do have considerable prey drive (a feature of both lines of my ancestry). I promise to keep your yard free of squirrels chipmunks and other smaller critters. I will probably require a home with no cats or small dogs. I am a very agile boy and have demonstrated my athleticism. I need a yard with a 6' fence.So what do you think?? Are you ready for Astro the party started to join your family.
