My name is Alana my Foster Mom named me that when she first saw my face because it means Precious child" or "dear child" in Celtic! My brothers (I have 6 of them) and I were left in a box on the side of the road in rural NC. A very nice person found us and took us to a shelter where they took care of us. All of my brothers got adopted and I was the only one left and I was very sad. They said "my time was up" - whatever that means! Anyway this nice lady came and got me and said she's my 'Foster Mom' and that she's with German Shepherd Rescue and Adoptions. All I know is that I have TWO big sisters and a big brother to play with and cuddle with! It is great! My Foster Mom says I am the sweetest puppy she's ever met in her whole life and she laughs A LOT when I play. I like discovering the world and living life. I adore meeting new people cuddling chasing my brother and sisters chasing the ball wrestling with my big sister eating bully sticks eating snacks begging for popcorn snuggling during naps and hopping around the house like a bunny rabbit. I used to not like car rides but my Foster Mom has been taking me to the park everyday with my foster brother and sister and now I like car rides a lot! I'm just a baby still and have a lot of learning to do but my Foster Mom says I am SUPER Sheppie smart with the drive of a Malinois. Oh and I wag my tail so hard when I see someone I like that I almost fall over! 7/3/13 My foster Mom says I am the official park greeter. Anyone who jogs walks rides or otherwise passes by gets a personal escort along the fence by me! Most people think I'm too cute for words and stop to say hello. I love meeting new dogs through the fence also and my tail does not stop wagging ever. My foster Mom says I'm going to wag it so much it will fall off! Last week two other dogs came to the park to play and foster Mom said I could play with them. I ran and wrestled and jumped and barked and rolled....! It was so much fun and I wore myself out so much that I curled into a ball in the backseat and went to sleep on the way home (all 7 minutes of the drive). I love to play!!!"
