REESE ~2 years old. Good for seniors/elderly and dogs. Kids and cats TBD. Apartment appropriate.GSRA adopts to VA NC and SC onlyEveryone likes a Reesie Cup but how about a Reesie Pup? We are the lucky foster home for this fellow. Reese was found as a stray in Rockingham County assessed and brought in as a GSRA boy. We have no idea of his background but his physical condition showed it wasn't as it should be. He was very underweight with the rib count to prove it. The physical part is long overshadowed by the stellar personality this guy showed from day one. He wowed our assessors then his foster family. Reese is a friendly guy to people and enjoys the company of his foster brother & sister. His cat status is unknown at present but we can get that ordered. Kid status is unknown also but I can find a kid somewhere who isn't scared of all black dogs with peanut butter paws.Reese is crate trained and is a gentleman in the house. Outside he likes to chase his foster sister but if she's unavailable he is content to lie around and watch the clouds. He has been super on a leash from day one. He enjoys walks with the pack or alone with mom.Reese would be fine with other dogs or as an only with a parent who is home frequently. He is attuned to learning and has picked up on commands quickly. He knows sit kennel off and no. I think he would excel & enjoy obedience classes. We are currently working on getting him more comfortable with car rides these are scary for him at the moment.Reese may be a bit of a hybrid he has the head of a Labrador the snout of a Sheppie and the heart of a champion! That special heart needs some special treatment he is heartworm positive at present and will be treated before he comes home to you.
