BAILEY ~1 year old. Good with dogs. Kids and cats TBD. Needs a fenced yard and companion animal.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only. If you could bottle sunshine you would have Bailey! This adorable 1+ year old husky mix was rescued from a rural shelter when she was just 4-5 months old and was absolutely terrified. Fast forward to present day and Bailey is settling in nicely as a GSRA pup! Bailey is very wiggling high energy and has a beautiful strawberry blonde tipped soft fluffy coat with an endearing little underbite smile.Bailey is most happy when she is playing and just LOVES dogs of all ages shapes and sizes! She is high energy and adores playing chase rough housing with other dogs and jumping in the pond to splash around. Bailey is also good with quiet time but is always game for a good play session! Because play provides a fantastic way for Bailey to work off energy and be social she would do best in a home that has another dog that is well-adjusted and enjoys play time as well. Additionally all this running around and play will require that Bailey has a home with a fenced yard! Bailey has not been rated with cats yet. However because she enjoys chase so much and was interested in the coop chickens cats may not be a good fit.As enthusiastic and high energy as Bailey is with dogs she is much more reserved with humans. Bailey tends to be a little timid and shy with humans and prefers to solicit attention on her own terms. Bailey does best with slow neutral introductions and typically will come on her own to investigate and ask for snuggles. Once Bailey is comfortable she will jump up and join her humans on the couch to relax and enjoy time together. Bailey is definitely a home body and likes to be in the house or in the backyard playing with her fur-buddies. While Bailey is great on car rides she would not be a pup that likes running around all the time and visiting tons of different noisy/loud places. She is more at ease in the environments she knows and enjoys going on neighborhood walks or nature trails. Bailey also does a fantastic job in her crate is house trained and is learning her basic commands.Bailey is a sweet little goofball and would be well suited to a mellow household with a companion dog. She needs a loving home with a family that will take their time with her and continue to build her confidence. Since Bailey is so timid with people she would not be well suited to a home with young children.
