MYA ~ 3 years old. Good with dogs. Kids TBD. Not good with cats. Needs a companion animal.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only.Hey there! My name is Mya and I am a sweet and affectionate girl looking for a forever family. I am an adorable mid sized GSD mix. I weigh about 51-60 Pounds and am approximately 3 years old. I can be a bit shy and nervous in new situations but once I am comfortable I am all fun and games! I am eager for attention once I know you. I really like to be near my people and will even sleep in the bed if you will let me. I am very well mannered and am not a big barker. I am housebroken and crate trained too! I walk pretty well on a leash!I was very skittish when I first came into the rescue....I was scared of everything. Over time my foster mom got me used to a few of the resident dogs....I started to bond with them and then play with them and my confidence continued to grow! It was amazing but having a few canine companions really helped me to come out of my shell! Once I discovered how to play I became a new dog! I love to run and play with other dogs! I am very submissive and do well with other playful dogs. I am scared of pushy and overly dominant dogs. I have also discovered that chasing squirrels is a wonderful way to get both exercise and entertainment! I have not caught any but it is only because I have not figured out how to get up in the trees!I am looking for a family that wants a sweet and happy girl to enrich their lives. I like to go for walks. I will need a fenced yard and another playful mid/large size dog to help me continue to build confidence. I was tested with cats a while ago and seemed very scared and intimidated by them at the time. I do tend to get carsick and need to take medication if you plan on taking me in the car for more than a mile or two. I am not one that will be a candidate for long or frequent car rides.....I may grow out of this motion sickness or I may not. Don't let that deter you! I am perfectly fine with all the attention you can give me at home!I hope to meet you soon!Mya
