NORA ~1-2years old. Good with kids and dogs. Cats TBD. Not good with small dogs. GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only Hello World! My name is Nora and I am a delightful young lady looking for my forever family!I am a rather petite girl. I weigh just under 41-50 Pounds. They tell me I am a german shepherd/husky mix. I think it is a fantastic combination! I have the coloring and coat of a shepherd and the personality and playfulness of a husky. I am about 1.5-2 years old so I should not get any bigger. I am happy and healthy!A bit about my personality: I LOVE people...I just want to be the center of attention. I am not selective I love men and women and the shelter said I was in a home with children too. I will shower you with kisses and really just want to be near my people. I will happily sleep in the bed with you if allowed...if not I will curl up nearby on a dog bed. I am pretty well behave in the house and am also crate trained. (I am not too fond of the crate but foster mom says it is a good idea when I am not supervised.....my curiosity has gotten me in trouble. I have tried "acquiring" items off the coffee table/kitchen table when mom isn't watching me. I am quiet in the crate most of the time especially when I have a marrow bone to chew on)I am a very athletic girl and I LOVE to run! Sometimes I get the zoomies and just run laps around the yard because I can! I am super fast! I play well with several of my foster brothers. I am housebroken and ride well in the car!Foster mom has a few things to add. I hope to meet you soon if you think I may be able to join your family. From Foster mom:Nora is a fun dog! She just radiates happiness! Although she is a mix she seems to exhibit much more of a husky personality than that of a shepherd. Both breeds are very loving so no problem with that. Nora has the smaller ears and paws like a husky and also has the body movement/bounce and play style of the husky. She looks like she is gliding when she runs and can leap and change direction of motion very smoothly. She loves to play chase with the other foster dogs. She is also very husky in that she is always batting at me with her paws when she wants something.Nora needs proper introductions to new dogs...she can be a bit hyper stimulated when meeting new friends. Once she calms down all is good. Shelter indicated that she was returned because she got into a dust up with a small dog in her previous home. They said the resident dog was the instigator but we have no way to confirm. She does have considerable prey drive towards cats and I would suggest not putting her around very small dogs just to be cautious. She will need a securely fenced yard....would prefer privacy fence as I suspect she could easily clear a 4 foot fence.Nora will sit for treats and seems very eager to learn and please her people. She is also very food motivated so training should be easy!Nora is a gorgeous girl with a great personalty. She will be a wonderful and loyal companion for some lucky family! I am sure she will be quite popular.
