~ 2 years old. Good with older considerate children and dogs. Cats TBD.Playmate of the Month...meet Farrah petite blonde with lots of energy who can play with the best of them. Farrah has wavy blond hair amber eyes and the personality of a social butterfly. She can be the life of the party then rest & let someone else have the spotlight for a while. Farrah likes adults and considerate children who will focus on loving her & teaching her how to behave. She has made fantastic progress from the cowering scared dog in a crate who didn't know what to do with stairs. She is blossoming into a happy confident dog who is comfortable with who she is. She would shine in an obedience class as she is focused & wants to please her people.Farrah appreciates her fan base coming out to support her at the Burlington adoption event. She would like to give a special wink and a nudge to Wesley a gentleman she met there who she would have liked to engage in a round of catch me if you can but those pesky parents with leashes foiled the plot. Farrah is estimated to be around age 2 but acts like a pup. She has the colorings of a GSD is petite in structure & is a fun girl looking for someone to play with. Farrah would like a home with a playmate but could also find enjoyment in being the apple in her human's eye.*****Jan2013 UPDATE******Winter update....Yes she is still a playmate.....of the new year! 2013 is going to be Farrah's year...the year she finds her forever home and makes them as happy as she does in her foster home.Farrah's accomplishments in 2012 included kicking heartworms to the curb seeing Mom get engaged & married getting a Dad & moving into his house with a bigger backyard having two new canine siblings and two human boys to love and having a real Christmas with her foster family. Farrah has taken all these changes in stride and has embraced the change in her routine with happiness. In the beginning she "christened" Dad's carpet but she has gotten better. If there are prior "christenings" from other dogs she'll make a beeline to add her scent as well. She'll need patience & a potty routine in her new home.We know so much more about her now that she has been with us since August & has settled into a routine. She is crate trained but prefers the freedom of a free roam. She sleeps in her kennel at night and is allowed free roam when the family is at home. She is an early riser so maybe you can ditch the alarm clock. She is always up for a petting & brushing her coat is plush & wavy and her shedding is probably less than most. She uses her paws to communicate you'll get a swat when she wants your attention. When her craving for your affection is satisfied she will find a suitable spot to curl up in & be good. Farrah is an athletic dog who I imagine might like to have a running partner. We have learned Farrah has had prior experience as a tennis pro as she loves to chase a tennis ball. How appropriate that she now lives on Wimbledon drive....wouldn't you LOVE to meet her and see if she is a MATCH for you?
