BRUCE ~ 18 months old. Good with dogs & Older Considerate Kids Cats TBD. Needs a companion animalGSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only. Bruce is an affectionate loving boy with a wonderful personality. If I could describe him in one word it would be HAPPY! He loves being with his family both human and canine. Once he figured out what a belly rub was there was no turning back he really enjoys them. Lol I haven't had him around kids but I believe with his sweet personality that he would do okay with older considerate kids. He loves being outside playing going for walks and exploring new things. He does well in the car but is a little unsure about getting in. Bruce gets along with other dogs and enjoys being around them. He even met a teacup Yorkie at the vets and made his foster mom proud. He loves to play. He loves when his canine sibling Lea chases him around the yard or wrestles with him.Sometimes when Lea is lying down he will try to get her to play. If she doesn't get up he will stand up and then pick up her tail. He can be such a silly boy. Below is a video of Bruce around the cats at the shelter. He seemed to have no interest in them but would need to retest to be sure. Bruce has free reign 24/7 in the house with Lea and has done very well. He did counter surf the first several days but he's learning that he doesn't have to worry about being hungry anymore. Bruce is a wonderful boy. He still needs some basic training but is food motivated so that makes it easier. He loves to play so he will need a family with a playful dog and a fenced yard so they could run and play. When Bruce and (what we believe is) his mom and her pups came to the shelter they were all very skinny. The owner surrendered them because they killed a goat. I'm guessing the owner didn't understand the meaning of a shepherd's prey drive and I'm sure being hungry played a part in it. But that is all in the past now. So you think this handsome boy might be the one you've been looking for?
