INGA ~3 1/2 years old. Good with older considerate children cats and dogs. Needs a yard. Needs a companion animalGSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC.Inga is a beautiful black and tan GSD. She is a wonderful girl with a loving personality. She loves being with her human and will be your second shadow. She is quite the snuggler and loves to cuddle beside you on the couch. She loves going for walks hikes and may be a good running partner. She walks well on a leash loves playing with toys and is lovingly known as the &lsquoshredder' when it comes to stuffed toys. LOL! She loves to run after a ball and will bring it back (at least most of the time). She seems to like going for a car ride but at the same time seems a little nervous.Inga has done well with her two canine foster siblings. She is left to free roam the house with them while I'm at work and hasn't shown any destructive behavior. She seemed to do okay with most of the dogs that she met at the vet's office. I haven't had her around any small dogs or cats so she would need to be tested with them. She has put her paws on the table a couple of times but it was to see what I was doing. Something we are working on. She does seem to have some prey drive but so far it has been easy to redirect her attention.Inga's owner was a very elderly man that fell and broke his hip and was taken to the hospital. While he was gone Inga got frightened and jumped the fence and escaped her yard. She was picked up by Animal Control and ended up doing a stint at Gaston Co shelter until her owner's family found her and bailed her out. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Inga's Dad will be going back home so now Inga needs a new family.Inga is a wonderful girl and I think she would do okay with older considerate children but I haven't had her around any children. Inga would love to have a playful companion and a fenced yard that she could run and play in. She would probably do okay as an only dog if the family was active and someone was home a lot.So do you think this sweet girl might be the right fit for your home?
