Hello there!! My name is Kimba and I am a very pretty girl in search of a new home. I am very sweet and very calm. All I want is to be near you.I know it is not polite to jump up so I prefer to just sit beside you and wait for you to pet me. I am a shy girl but am working hard at getting more confident. I am also a bit timid&hellipsudden noises and loud voices startle me easily. I love to play with other dogs as long as they are nice to me&hellip.my furry roommates are showing me the ropes. I am house trained and crate trained. I am also very quiet and not a barker. I don't get on the furniture but would like to sleep in the bed with you if you would allow it. I have a very pretty and soft coat with a lot of red highlights. Unfortunately my previous owner did not take very good care of me&hellipI am heartworm positive. I have started HW treatment and should be fully recovered in several weeks. I'd love to meet you and see if I can join your family&hellipI am so incredibly sweet and I promise to love you. From foster mom:Kimba is a beautiful dog with an absolutely wonderful temperament. Although she is timid and shy she has a real desire to be near her people and seems to crave love and affection. Kimba is very submissive and when she is unsure of something she will sit real still and lower her head. She is very well behaved even though she has no training. She walks beautifully on a leash and is perfectly crate trained&hellipsits quietly and makes no effort to escape. A crate is highly recommended when she goes to her new home as she perceives it as her &ldquosafe&rdquo place. Kimba loves to ride in the car and is a perfect passenger. She will follow you around like a little shadow. Kimba seems to like children as well as long as they are not exceptionally hyper. Kimba really enjoys the company of other dogs and it would probably be best if she went to a home with a furry friend. (She loves racing around the yard with two of my younger dogs). Kimba is very non-confrontational&hellipshe is scared of assertive or dominant dogs and will go hide if she feels threatened. Kimba does not play ball at the moment&hellipthe motion of throwing the ball scares her so I have a strong suspicion that she was previously hit or abused. However she has started to pick up the tennis ball and carry it around&hellipso perhaps in time she will be willing to play. I have not tested with cats yet but will be able to do so if needed. I have a feeling she will be fine with cats due to her gentle nature. Kimba has started HW treatment so she will not be available for a few weeks. Kimba is going to be a wonderful addition to some lucky family&hellipshe is probably the sweetest dog that I have fostered so far.
