I've found my furever family!

TANK ~1-3 years old. Good with dogs cats and with older considerate children. Needs a companion animal or someone home a majority of the time.GSRA adopts only in VA NC and SC Nice AND Naughty! That describes Tank's two very opposite personalities.Most of the time Tank is as nice as can be a real cuddlebug. Tank likes to be near his humans either on a couch or a bed or at least in the same room. He loves his squeaky toys he will play with them forever or at least as long they squeak. Tank likes to run & play in the backyard as long as his human is outside with him. Tank gets along well with my 3 adult female GSDs & his foster sister Darcy. Tank is friendly with the children in the neighborhood in a controlled environment. Tank is crate & house trained. Tank barks when he hears strange noises.So why do I say Tank is naughty?We don't know much about Tank's background but we believe he was more of an outdoor dog that was never taught appropriate puppy behavior. So when there's lots of activity Tank can get excited jumping & being mouthy. And since he didn't learn how to play with other dogs he has a tendency to play a little rough especially trying to bite other dog's back legs. Tank is smart & with a strong leader these naughty traits could be corrected.The ideal family for Tank is the fewer number of family members the better. And the calmer more structured environment the better. I had guests spend a week with us over Christmas and after 15 minute introductions all was good. Tank would be good as an only dog. If he is with other dogs he should be supervised until he learns how to interact with them. When walking on leash Tank tends to pull. And he's as strong as a tank. (Ha ha!) He definitely would benefit from attending obedience classes.If I were looking to adopt a white GSD would I consider adopting Tank? Absolutely. After only a few days at my house he became a real momma's boy. Tank is a sweet boy that just needs some guidance.
