Hi! My Name Is Luca-2019-040

We're happy to tell you that Luca-2019-040 has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
LUCA ~5year old. Good with older considerate kids and large dogs. No cats or small dogs.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyLuca is a 5year old 65 pound German Shepherd who came to us from a shelter in Durham NC where she was found as a stray and never claimed. She has been in foster for a few months now and has been professionally trained by Triangle K9 so she's ready to find her forever home.Luca is as active as she is beautiful and would thrive in a home with a strong leader and an active lifestyle. She would make the perfect hiking walking or jogging partner. On days that you might want to stay in for a movie night Luca can easily expend her energy with a few games of fetch as she loves a tennis ball. Luca is a very confident gal and to be in charge of herfoster canine companions. Because of this I would do best in a home with a submissivecompanion or as an only dog. She has done very well in play groups with multiple dogs of both sexes but the other dogs must not be dominant.Luca is both house and crate trained and has been taught basic training (sit down come crate place etc) as well as some fun stuff like "shake." She is being fostered in Raleigh NC. If you approved to adoptand are interested in Luca please contact your screener. If you are not yet approved to adopt from GSRA you can find our adoption application (and FAQs about the process) at our website:https://www.gsdrescue.org/
