(4 yrs old) Good with Kids Dogs TBD. NOT good with cats or small dogs.Yo whaz up dawg? Name's Josef but I go by Joey at this new place. Wish I could tell you about my past four human years but I really don't remember. What I can fill you in on is how my life has been since I have been at this place they call a foster home. I got here a few weeks ago and was turned loose in a fenced yard. There were a few humans sitting up on the deck but I had never seen them before. I kept my distance didn't trust'em. Boy was I wrong!!! These people are great. What used to be a luxury for me like food is now on a regular schedule and fresh water is available anytime I want it. These humans have given me a short education also. Things like sit stay and down are a now a part of my vocabulary. They say I walk great on a lead (personally I think I am better than my foster sis) and I love to get in my personal safe place (kennel) when they are not home or its bed time. I am pretty much house trained as I have had only one accident (I swear the column in the living room looks and smells like a tree) and that was on the first day I was here. I like the trips we take in the vehicles. In short these people have let my true personality come out. I do have a couple of things that they say I need to tell you about. I am heartworm positive and I will need treatment when I get to my forever home. That's cool though as it will give me time to really fit in with my forever family. Also they say no cats as I like to chase them a little too aggressively. I am sure I will be fine with other dogs preferably ones my size but we will need a proper introduction to get started on the right paw. I haven't been around many little tykes so I would say they need to be 8 human years old to be on the safe side.I like it here but I would really like to have a forever home. With all of the love and affection that you show me I promise to give a lot more than I receive. I think I am an oversized lovable lap dog that would make a great addition to your family.
