(8 yrs old) Good with dogs cats and kids. Good for seniors and apartment appropriate. Are you looking for a little love and companionship and an inspiration to take a walk around the block? Then we might be perfect together.I'm such a sweet girl (or at least that's what people say all the time!).Here's some things you should know about me:Things I'm good at:Getting patsSupervising in the kitchenMaking friends (of all sizes and species)Getting patsTaking gentle walksRiding in the car!Letting you know when I'm not done getting patsSitting for my foodPlaying follow the leaderWading in water (I was found wandering Myrtle Beach after all)Putting up with my galoot of a foster brotherSharingThings I'm not so good at:Hearing (I'm hard of hearing)Wood stairs and slippery floorsTaking long walksI'm an older girl (we estimate 8-10 years old) so I've mellowed out but I still have a spark and enjoy exploring new places taking my short walks and occasionally chasing my foster brother when he chases squirrels.Like many older folks I have some arthritis for which can I take medicine but it doesn't keep me from jumping in the car traversing rocks by the river and jumping over a log or two in the woods &ndash just all in moderation. In my foster home I can take the short stairs into the house and the carpeted stairs with a landing at bedtime but I'm terrible with long wooden stairs so a one-story home or all carpeted home would be needed. As for my hearing I think that I've had hearing loss for a long time because I have adapted really well. I follow big hand and arm gestures that tell me when to come and let me know which way to go. Plus I'm smart and figure out routines really fast so I remember what to do every night when we go outside and learned really fast that I have to sit to get my dinner. I also follow my foster brother and he taught me the routine but a person could do it too (y'all can be smart too).I'm confident and like to be around folks but I'm not a Velcro dog. Except when it comes to pats then I'm quite the &ldquoleaner&rdquo. Ideally I'd love it if you were home all day or if you worked at home just so I knew where you were. I'm just a great girl looking for my permanent home. What do you think?
