I've found my furever family!

BOOMER ~3.5 years old. Good withchildren and dogs. Not good with cats. GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only.Listen! Listen closely and I think you'll hear it: BOOM shaka-laka-laka-laka BOOM shaka-laka&hellip Are you hearing it now??? That my friends is GSRA's very own Boomer strutting into town! Yes strutting because this petite little girl has the moxie of a MUCH larger dog and she wants you to know it!Boomer has lovely house manners&mdashcompletely house-trained comfortable in a crate but non-destructive so can be trusted free-roaming and an *excellent* work-from-home or streaming-binge buddy. She basically wants to be with her people at all times and will match her energy to the energy in the house.Outside is a whole &lsquonother story though! Outside she will launch herself off the deck in an explosion of energy and be running at full speed by the time her feet touch down BOOM! After a quick (and I do mean quick!) tour around the yard to make sure no squirrels or rabbits have encroached she circles back to see what the humans are doing&mdashusually nothing very interesting in her judgement so she'll settle down nearby to chew on her favorite ball and keep an eye out in case something more interesting develops.Then it's walk time which Boomer thinks is *definitely* interesting. She's still learning that leash-walking is a team sport though and that it goes better when it's done at the human's pace. But she IS learning and after the first 10 minutes or so she walks very nicely. Leash manners are still a work in progress though so Boomer's adopters will need to be firm about who's walking who.Boomer is friendly to other dogs but needs to have her enthusiasm curbed during intros because she will approach in full &ldquoBoom shaka-laka&rdquo mode which many dogs don't care for. :-) Once she knows another dog though she has an easy companionable energy with them&mdashespecially in the house. Outside her energy amps up and her high prey drive can kick in which extends to the sight of another dog running after a ball. But there are ways to manage this (get her engaged with her OWN ball first) and it eases over time as she and another dog get to know each other. Still she'd do best with a dog-buddy who's on the mellower side and doesn't mind a little bossiness by the Boom-Boom. Because of her high prey drive cats are a no-go for her.Boomer's never met a stranger and is eager to add you to her fan base so come on out and meet her!
