I've found my furever family!

VENJA ~6 years old. Good with kids dogs large and small. Good with cats! Appropriate for seniors and apartment appropriate GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC only Introducing.... Venja! Venja was rescued from a puppy mill in WV and came to us after a stay at a local shelter while legal issues proceeded. Not surprisingly she was cautious at first but has really warmed up to us after a few days. Although she may not have known a "soft" life before she has fully embraced it now! She now loves playing with her crazy foster-brother enjoys long walks in the woods and then quiet evenings hanging out with her pack. Her personality is definitely of the "stop and smell the roses" variety. She would rather take a meandering stroll than a hard run and play. Her age is estimated at 6-7 years but may have had a hard life so she acts a little older. A perfect day for her includes a couple of nice walks a couple of good meals (she is a voracious eater!) several outside breaks during the day and lots of time with her people. She just loves hanging out loving on her people and getting loved in return! Her coat is so soft that you'll just want to keep rubbing her!She is house-trained comfortable in her crate or out (although prefers sleeping in the same room as her people) is very patient with new people dogs cats squirrels etc. She does stay in her crate when her foster dad is at work and is very anxious to get out and relieve herself when he gets home. For that reason Venja would really like to find someone who either works from home or has flexibility to avoid those long stretches of time by herself.Venja is heartworm negative has had all needed vaccinations has been spayed and is in good health. She does have an old surgical incision that is healing near the base of her tail but with continued antibiotic treatment this is expected to resolve and will eventually be hidden by her beautiful coat :)
